I hope you have had a meaningful Easter experience along with a refreshing break after a busy first term.
It’s that time of year when organisation is in full swing for the upcoming Presbyterian Church Schools’ conference.
This year’s conference is being held at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School on Thursday August 6 (starting at 9.30am) and Friday August 7 (ending by 1pm).
The conference theme is Forming for Transforming: Forming students who participate in the transformation of society.
Please contact me if you would like me to e-mail the pre-conference information regarding venue and accommodation.
Information about the conference including the programme and online registration will be available from early June.
Note too that the conference for Chaplain’s and RE teachers will also be held in Christchurch on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th of August.
Part of my role in the Resource Office is to strengthen the connection between the Presbyterian Church and the schools. It was great to be able to organise a story in our Presbyterian magazine Spanz, about St Andrew’s College in Christchurch, an inspiring example of the local and global community service which our schools get involved in.
All the best for the beginning of Term Two and the important work you are doing in your school.
